The DIGITUS® gigabit fiber optic switch makes 8 fiber optic SFP ports and 2 RJ45 Uplink ports with gigabit bandwidth available. Economical acquisition costs, simple operation and high performance are the strengths of this fiber optic switch. The switch is designed for FTTX applications such as FTTN, FTTC, FTTB, FTTD or FTTH, with the areas of application primarily for fiber optic LANs, industrial Ethernet environments, distributed control systems and digital video surveillance. The switch can be used in campus networks, remote LAN expansions, metro Ethernet distributions and ISP backbone applications. The optical modules can be exchanged during operation (hot swappable). This economical switch offers a network layout that simplifies the installation of Wireless Access Points and IP-based surveillance cameras in commercial or private networks. It can be mounted as a 19" rack in server cabinets (1U) or used as a desktop switch. It offers the perfect network solution for work groups and for intelligent LAN fiber optic access.
